Roti Kirai also known as Roti Jala is a well known snack within the Malay community and can be found in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Roti Jala when directly translated, literally means "Net Bread". Although Roti Jala is a common food in the Malay community, many Singaporeans find it hard to find places that serve this delicious snack. Here are some places that you can go to to try out their Roti Jala!

1. De’ Hassan Ambeng Cuisine

A family run business whereby the recipes have been passed down from generation to generation starting from the owner, Madam Kalsom's mother. They serve different specials on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you plan on indulging yourself in chewy and crispy Roti Kirai with thick and flavorful curry to satisfy those #cravings, Saturday is the day to head down to Yishun Park Hawker Centre.

2. Hajjah Sadiah Muslim Food

Looking for some #rotikirai or #rotijala that is more on the chewy side? Well, we've got you covered. Head on down to Geylang Serai Market and Food Centre where the stall owner nails the chewiness of the dish the and it is served with thick chicken. But, do note that the stall tends to sell out before 11am so be sure arrive early to avoid any disappointment!
